Mr. Platt is the four-time Tony Award-winning producer of Angels in America: Millennium Approaches (Pulitzer Prize for Drama); Perestroika; Copenhagen and God of Carnage. He is currently represented on Broadway by: God of Carnage starring James Gandolfini, Marcia Gay Harden (Tony Award best actress), Jeff Daniels and Hope Davis and New York's No.1 musical - Wicked, which he also produces in London, Tokyo, Brisbane, Oberhausen and throughout North America.
Recently on Broadway he produced Eugene Ionesco's Exit the King starring Oscar winners Geoffrey Rush and Susan Sarandon, for which Geoffrey Rush won the Tony Award for best actor, and Will Ferrell's You're Welcome America.
He has received Tony Award nominations for his productions of Damn Yankees; Peter Pan; Hello, Dolly!; The Diary of Anne
Frank; Lonesome West; Man of La Mancha and Wicked.
Mr. Platt has produced numerous national tours including: The Sound of Music; Sunset Boulevard; Hair; Jesus Christ Superstar; Fiddler on the Roof; The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas; A Chorus Line; The Graduate and Blue Man Group "Tubes".
Mr. Platt serves on the Board of The Madison Theater Project in Los Angeles.
