Where will my workshop take place?
There is very limited space at the Apollo Victoria Theatre so unfortunately we cannot hold schools workshops there. Workshops can take place either at a suitable space at your school such as a drama studio or school hall, or we will host you at a venue close to the theatre.

Will the workshop be taught by a Wicked cast member?
Some workshops may be taught by current or previous cast members, but this cannot be guaranteed. The workshops have been devised with the Wicked creative team and all will be led by experienced practitioners.

Will my practitioner be DBS checked?
All practitioners are DBS checked and observe best practice in safeguarding and child protection.

Can I see a detailed workshop plan?
A workshop plan summary will be provided in advance. You can make special requests when filling out the workshop enquiry form, and discuss any requirements when making a booking. A risk assessment will also be provided.

Will a teacher need to be present through the workshop?
Yes, we require at least one teacher to be present at all times. Accompanying teachers and welcome to join in where appropriate. We ask that the teacher or another member of staff who is present, be first aid trained and responsible for the welfare and behaviour of the students throughout the workshop.

How long is a workshop?
A typical workshop lasts two hours, but this can be shortened or lengthened depending on your requirements.

How much do workshops cost?
Workshops start at £200*. Teachers and accompanying adults may observe or participate in the session at no extra cost. Workshop costs will vary depending on the nature of the workshop requested, including format, length, number of students and venue.

*This does not include your own travel costs.

Is there a maximum size for a workshop?
We will do our best to accommodate any group but a standard workshop should not exceed 30 students. There is no minimum number of participants, but there is minimum cost regardless of participant numbers.

How do I book a workshop?
Please go to the Workshops page and fill in the workshop enquiry form. We’ll get back to you with further information and to discuss your group’s needs. If you’d like to speak with us first, please email or call our workshop coordinator on 020 3828 6132.

Can I film or photograph the workshop?
Unfortunately due to rights restrictions, filming or audio recording any part of the workshop is not permitted. Photography of the workshop by the teacher in line with your school or organisation policies is permitted, in agreement with the practitioner. Wicked will not film or photograph any part of the workshop, unless this has been specifically agreed in advance of the session and appropriate permissions have been sought.

Will I need to prepare anything in advance of the workshop?
No preparation is required before the workshops but if you would like to look at lyrics or sheet music in advance we can send your the appropriate resources.

Is anything given to students after the workshop?
Participants are welcome to keep the printed resources we have used in the workshop. We also really appreciate feedback and therefore will ask the teacher and students to complete a short evaluation form, to be completed at the end of the workshop.
