Kerry Ellis, the first British actress to play Elphaba in the smash hit musical WICKED at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, has just released a 3 track CD called 'Wicked In Rock' ahead of a full debut album coming later this year.
The CD is arranged and produced by Queen's Brian May and features Taylor Hawkins on drums, Brian May on guitar, a 60+ piece orchestra and Kerry Ellis - in spine-tingling form.
Officially released on 7 July this taster to the forthcoming album is available to pre-order from DRESS CIRCLE or via Queen Online. The tracks are:

Kerry Ellis opens tonight (17 June 2008) on Broadway, recreating her award-winning performance as Elphaba in WICKED at the Gershwin Theatre. Kerry Ellis returns to the London production from 1 December 2008.
WICKED, the award-winning, record-breaking hit musical, recently celebrated its 700th performance and has now been seen by over 1,300,000 theatregoers since its London premiere in September 2006, taking over £49 million at the Box Office in just 20 months. Tickets are currently on sale until Saturday 4 April 2009.
WICKED has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, a book by Winnie Holzman, musical staging by Wayne Cilento and is directed by Joe Mantello. It is based on the novel, Wicked - The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, by Gregory Maguire.
