Wicked has music and lyrics by multi-Oscar and Grammy Award winner Stephen Schwartz<\/strong> (\u2018Godspell\u2019, \u2018Pippin\u2019, \u2018The Prince of Egypt\u2019, Disney\u2019s \u2018Pocahontas\u2019, \u2018The Hunchback of Notre Dame\u2019 and \u2018<\/em>Enchanted\u2019). Wicked is based on the multimillion-copy best-selling novel \u2018Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West\u2019 by Gregory Maguire<\/strong> and written by Emmy and Tony Award nominee Winnie Holzman<\/strong> (creator of the landmark American television series \u2018My So-Called Life\u2019).<\/em> Musical staging is by Tony Award-winner Wayne Cilento <\/strong>with direction by two-time Tony Award-winner Joe Mantello<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Scenic design is by Eugene Lee<\/strong>, costumes by Susan Hilferty<\/strong>, lighting by Kenneth Posner<\/strong>, sound by Tony Meola<\/strong>, projection designs by Elaine J. McCarthy<\/strong> and Hair and Wig designs by Tom Watson<\/strong>. Music arrangements are by Alex Lacamoire<\/strong> and Stephen Oremus<\/strong>, with dance arrangements by James Lynn Abbott<\/strong>, orchestrations by William David Brohn<\/strong>, and musical supervision by Stephen Oremus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Made famous in iconic performances by Idina Menzel and on film, Cynthia Erivo, Elphaba is played in London’s West End by Emma Kingston.<\/p>\n
